The White House invites Allon Raiz to speak at Global Entrepreneurship Summit

The upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Summit is taking place in Nairobi, Kenya, on
25 and 26 July 2015, and is the 6th annual gathering of entrepreneurs at all stages of
business development, business leaders, mentors, and high-level government
officials. President Obama elevated entrepreneurship to the forefront of the United
States’ engagement agenda during a historic speech in Cairo in 2009, and following
the first summit which was held in 2010 in Washington, DC, the GES has expanded to
an established global event that demonstrates the US Government’s continued
commitment to fostering entrepreneurship around the world.

On behalf of President Obama, The White House has invited Allon Raiz, CEO
Raizcorp, to speak at the upcoming summit. Raiz is regarded both locally and globally
as a pioneer and maverick in the business incubation industry, and is the founder and
CEO of Raizcorp – the only privately held, unfunded, profitable business incubator on
the African continent, which is currently supporting in excess of 500 businesses.
On receiving the invitation, Raiz proudly says: “It’s not every day that you receive an
email from The White House, which opens with ‘On behalf of President Obama, I’m
honoured to invite you to speak…’. I’m delighted to have been selected to speak at
the 6th Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Kenya, and will be taking part in a
workshop on Speciality Incubators and Innovation Hubs, which will highlight their
roles in supporting the development of the next generation of entrepreneurs.
“I’m proud to be representing South Africa at the summit, especially since this affirms
that we as a country are considered a leader in business incubation globally. I’m
looking forward to meeting with other global players in the field of entrepreneurship,
learning about new models, hearing other viewpoints, and sharing our local learnings
with other practitioners.”

This is the second time that Raiz has been invited to speak at the Global
Entrepreneurship Summit. Last year, Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister of Foreign Affairs
and Cooperation for the Kingdom of Morocco, invited Raiz to participate in a panel
Accelerating Success discussion on Talent and Entrepreneurship at the 5th Global Entrepreneurship Summit which was held in Morocco.
