With a BA in Brand Management from VEGA, she started her career in New York working with American marketing guru Seth Godin. Upon her return, she founded Rethaka, a group of companies with interests in manufacturing and waste management, which has won countless awards for its first innovation: Repurpose Schoolbags. These are solar powered schoolbags, of which over 10,000 have been distributed across the African continent.

Her pursuit to do work that matters led her to form the Seven Twelve Group which houses the Rethaka Group and The Threaded Group. These are a collection of companies interested in resourcing Africa’s Future with operations in textile manufacturing, tech, fashion and lifestyle industries.

Through her efforts to make a dent in the world, she has been recognized on numerous platforms including being named as a FORBES Africa 30under30 Honoree in 2017, “Innovator of the Year” by Forbes Women Africa in 2016, the Elle Magazine Impact award laureate across 6 continents, and in 2016 she became the youngest business woman at age 23, to appear on the cover of FORBES Women Africa.

As a thought leader on high performance work cultures, entrepreneurship and innovation in Africa, she has been invited to share her insights as

a keynote speaker and panelist in countries like the USA, UAE, UK, Austria, Kenya and Ghana to mention a few. She continues to share her journey with like- minded entrepreneurs through her personal blog and on her social media platforms.
