Seven Barry Hilton UK Shows in July

Barry’s been revving it up at the Top Gear Festival in Durban and after a
couple of exhilarating rounds with The Stig, he’s ready to roll for the rest of
this year.

He will be headlining The African Comedy Show at London’s Hippodrome on 11
July.   “There are over 10 million Africans in the UK and yet,
African comedy has long been under-represented in the mainstream comedic
circuit – we want to change that!” says founder of the African Comedy Show
David Balogun.  The monthly show is filmed and televised in the UK and USA
on African TV stations.

There are an ADDITIONAL SIX SHOWS IN THE UK for the South African
globetrotter who is the first South African invited to perform at the
prestigious Harrah’s Improv at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Last year, he was
shortlisted alongside John Cleese for Best Comedy Act Dubai and this year he
will open the Hong Kong 2014 Comedy Festival, building on a career that’s seen
him fill 4,000-seat auditoriums with his solo shows.  His global track
record highlights Barry’s ability to cut through all boundaries and appeal to any
nationality, race or age. In 2013 his industry peers paid tribute to Barry by
presenting him with A Lifetime Achiever Award.  Three of his six solo UK
shows have already sold out.

haven’t seen it yet, take a squizz:

Described by many South Africans as a national institution, “Barry seamlessly
transcends cultural boundaries and appeals to an international audience,” says
Umar Rana, Founder of Comedy Masala Singapore.

“In the last few years, Hong Kong has become the epicenter of an Asian
comedy revolution,” says Festival Founder Jami Gong.   “We are taking
the festival to a whole new level – we want to set a benchmark for comedy in
Asia.”  With both the comedians and the audience arriving from every
corner of the world, Gong bills it as the most diverse comedy audience in the
whole world.  “ Barry’s act is explosive, universal and very funny – he is
the perfect choice to get the show on the road.”

Just when you thought there were no more surprises…. Some musical fans have put
the Nou Gaan Ons Braai story to tunes!  It sounds amazing and completely
danceable!  The track will be released shortly.

For a night of non-stop laughs with two celebrated comedians, be sure to get
your tickets for the Barry Hilton vs Mike King performance at the Regal Theatre
in Perth on 26 and 27 September.

The Two Nations Comedy Event of the Year sees South African comedian Barry
Hilton take on New Zealand comedian Mike King on neutral ground in Australia.

Household names in their respective countries, these two international
comedians and friends, will perform together on stage in a side-splitting,
no-holds barred comedy show.  The animated performers will ensure their
audience is treated to an evening of uproarious laughter – the same kind
they’ve enjoyed together offstage since the minute they met in New Zealand
three years ago.  After forging a fantastic friendship and having had a
fabulous time performing together at selected New Zealand venues in 2011, Barry
invited Mike to tour South Africa with him in 2012.  Playing to 5000
people in five South African cities, the comedy show starring Barry Hilton and
Mike King was a roaring success.

FIVE shows have been secured for New Zealand in September:

19 Dorothy Winstone Centre, Auckland

20 The Kentish Hotel, Auckland (2 shows)

21 St Albans – Shirley Club, Christchurch

22 Upper Hut Cosmopolitan Club, Wellington

Ticket sales (40 dollars) are not yet live but will be
available shortly.
