How to excite and delight your customers…….. Welcome to our home! – Sarah Bauling

If you are in retail – be it a clothing store, a pharmacy, a filling station or a shoe shop, always welcome your guests as you would welcome them in your own home.

Not necessarily with a glass of wine or cup of coffee (unless you can of course!) but with the warmth that you would, should your friends or family enter the front door of your home.

If people feel comfortable they have a far greater chance of  buying – and at the end of the day – this is why we are in business!

They may not LOOK like they can afford it, they may not APPEAR to be genuinely interested but you never know what space they are in, you cannot judge a book by its cover. If you are judgemental, unfriendly and disinterested you can forget EVER turning that potential customer into a loyal raving fan!

A friendly hello, a welcoming smile and a simple “Please let me know if there is anything I can assist you with”, is just the beginning of what may turn out to be a loyal raving fan who returns, repurchases and refers you to others.
