Jeremy Mansfield has been in radio and television for 25 years and now consults in media, advertising and corporate social responsibility in South Africa and abroad. He has won more awards in media in South Africa than any other radio or TV personality.
He hosted the most profitable commercial radio show in the country, The Rude Awakening, for 13 years. The annual Options reader survey has voted him Johannesburg’s Most Popular Personality every year since its inception. His radio show also won Best Radio Show every year.

As a seasoned broadcaster and journalist Jeremy has worked at 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 702 Talk Radio & Capital Radio, Supersport and on numerous MNet magazine programmes including two seasons of Laugh Out Loud.
He has released three CD’s, one of his three joke books is a best seller and he is famous for his perfect impersonations of well-known South Africans, especially Madiba. Jeremy majored in Speech, Drama and Journalism at university and won the AA Vita Award for “Most Promising Young SA Actor” in 1985.
He has co-authored Zhoozsh, a cook book with his wife Jacqui. Zhoozsh won four Gourmands Awards, including South Africa’s Best Cookbook and third Best Cookbook in the World at the Gourmand International Food Awards in London. The follow up to this mega best-seller is Zhoozsh! Faking It which won the Gourmand Award for SA’s Best Easy Recipe Cookbook.
Jeremy is Nelson Mandela’s honorary grandson and is the only radio personality to make the nationwide informal poll ‘100 Greatest South Africans’.
He is renowned for his charity work and at the last count had raised over R20 million for charity. Former President Nelson Mandela recognised this and asked Jeremy to continue his remarkable efforts. It is unknown quite how much Jeremy has raised in kind for charities over his 13 years on breakfast radio.
In May 2010 Jeremy recorded the voice of Lifer the telephone in Toy Story 3 for Disney Pixar. On 8 July 2010 Jeremy was made the first recipient of the Castle Lager& SAB Inqaba Award for Social Responsibility. Jeremy announced his resignation from the morning show he created and his last day on air with his show The Rude Awakening was July 12 2010. He began his weekly financial TV show Mansfield’s Money Sense on CNBC Africa in October 2010.
