Corne KrigeCorne Krige – Former Springbok rugby captain, Corné Krige, is the owner of an outdoor advertising company and author of his autobiography, Right Place at the Wrong Time.

 

Born in Zambia, where his parents still live, Corné Krige was schooled in South Africa at Paarl Boys High. He currently lives in Cape Town with his wife and three children.

 

 

 

Corné Krige was a hard-working and motivated open side flank who finally made his Test debut in 1999 after having fought his way back from career-threatening knee and hand injuries.

Corné Krige Test debut came in 1999 and captained the Springboks on his test debut in a 101-0 victory over Italy in Durban. He appeared in 39 tests for South Africa, became the full-time captain in 2002, and captained the Boks 18 times in all , before his international retirement in January 2004.
