Lebogang Mokgabudi is an Entrepreneur, payments proffessional and a woman committed to building Africa. Lebo Mokgabudi founded a shoe company, Budi Shoes in 2010 and later led payment strategies in different emerging markets, such as Nigeria, Zimbabawe, Malawi, Pakistan, Nepal and Azerbaijan.
Lebo is passionate about the use of technology for social impact and developed financial services solutions for small holder farmers in Kenya and Ghana. Her expertise lie in digital financial services (DFS), developing partnerships to commercialize products, distribution strategies and doing business in Africa. Lebo speaks with confidence on topics related to DFS, entrepreneurship in Africa, and inspirational topics for the youth such as ‘Reinventing yourself, “Living a purpose-driven life”, “Women as leaders”.
Lebo has facilitated investor-readiness programs for entrepreneurs in Africa and run successful programs for Village Capital throughout the African continent. She has coached fintech startups and was invited to the SWIFT Africa Regional Conference to coach entrepreneurs in the Innotribe program along with coaches from 500 startups accelerator; the largest accelerator in Silicon Valley.
Lebo has worked for Visa, MTN, Gemalto and a tech startup, Esoko and completed an MBA with Gordon’s Institute of Business Sciences and Bachelor of commerce degree with University of Witwatersrand.
