In his 35 year international motor-sport career, Brian Simms has secured in excess of R650 million of sponsorship at all levels of sport up to and including Formula 1, where he became the Marketing Director for two Formula 1 teams, Benetton and Lola Ferrari. This followed a successful business career in sales with Xerox, the Goodyear Tyre Company and then as UK Sales Training Director for the giant US corporation, ITT.
Brian Sims is also the author of an internationally acclaimed book, based on his superb sales ability, which is a guide to securing commercial sponsorship at all levels of sport.
He came to South Africa 2 years ago and has been regularly featured in the print and TV media for his achievement in launching a high profile new organisation, SAMIA, the South African Motor-sport Industry Association, securing substantial sponsorship from PetroSA and Dell Computers to set up this high-profile initiative
