ABBOTT & CRABB (Dave Abbott and Henry Crabb) have become one of the bastions of the South African entertainment, cabaret and pub circuit.  Abbott & Crabb have performed at prestigious venues such as Sun City and The Carousel as well as neighbouring countries Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.  In fact, it’s probably easier to mention the few places they haven’t played.

Abbott & Crabb have been together for the last twenty years, which makes them one of the oldest surviving bands in the country.  (Dave and Henry aren’t too sure whether this is good or bad!)

Over the last ten years Abbott & Crabb have settled in Johannesburg, both married with children but this does not stop them from playing at distant venues on a “one off” basis.

Abbott & Crabb’s reputation has been built around a show, which combines stand-up comedy and sketches with a strong musical performance, based around their considerable vocal and instrumental capabilities.  With vocals, guitars, violin, banjo and assorted props there is a continual change of sound and mood during the show, whether you’re laughing, dancing or singing along, it will be party time!

Abbott & Crabb have recorded an album of their own songs called “At Last”which was released in 1990 and sold well - another album is on the way.

This then is Abbott & Crabb!  Enjoy them - they’ll be around for a long time!
