Patricia Glyn

Patricia Glyn has been invited to speak at the World Economic Forum 2010, which takes place between 27th January 2010 and 1st February 2010 in Davos, Switzerland. This is a "by-invitation-only" meeting of the world’s top business leaders, politicians, thinkers and media and it is a tremendous privilege to give a presentation to this August group.

The Forum has asked Patricia to give her talk “Footing with Sir Richard’s Ghost”, which some of them saw on a visit last year to South Africa. The reason why they are so interested in the presentation is because of the unique conservation story Patricia garnered from the expedition, having walked with a 142 year old diary in her hands and able to witness, literally step by step, the terrible destruction of our sub-continent since her ancestors came through here, but a wink of an evolutionary eye beforehand. The angle of the presentation has been summarized as ‘walking the green talk’ and it has proven itself to be an entertaining but thought-provoking way of encouraging audiences to address their personal culpability in the environmental melt-down we now face – principally through the way we eat.

In April Patricia has been invited to speak at the New York Explorers’ Club and the Boston Travellers Club.

CSI wishes Patricia all the best on her travels during 2010.
